Owner & operator Jolyon Gray has worked in instrument repair and restoration for over 30 years. Originally trained and qualified as a forth-generation piano tuner and technician, he now specialises in fretted instrument repair and is passionate about vintage instrument restorations.
 
Working in and around the Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley regions of NSW Australia where the family business has predominantly traded for the past 100 years.

History

Grays Music was established in 1923 by a young travelling piano tuner named Norman Gray. Soon after, a dedicated store named "Harmony House" was established in Singleton NSW and the business went on to play a vital role in servicing Newcastle and the Upper Hunter region of NSW. Selling much more than musical instruments, the Norman Gray & Sons family business continued trading for many following decades through to the 2000's.

As a performing and recording musician, Jolyon remains busy with collaborative projects predominantly within the Sydney, Newcastle and Hunter Valley live music scene and creative arts industry .
